Other one was broken in pieces

it gave a great result, except the fragrance was too strong....it would have clashed with any cologne i would want to wear. now if they made a scentless product......

D.R. Harris Shaving Cream, 5.3 fl oz

I've been using a ~3.5" metal shave bowl for some time. It's been fine, but this was a pretty cheap item, and it's beginning to corrode. The RS bowl is a huge step up in quality, and it won't oxidize like the metal. It also fits perfectly in my medicine cabinet - anything of a larger diameter would have been too big.

Personally, 3.5" is plenty for me, allowing plenty of room to get soap on my bursh, then creating the lather on my face. I'm totally satisfied, I just hope I don't drop it! ;-)

I've had a Best Badger brush for years that I've used with great success, but for my 60th birthday, I decided to treat myself to this Silvertip. I'm so glad I did. This brush is so lush and smooth, and it really whips the shave soap I use (Cella) into a rich and creamy lather. Despite being softer than the Best Badger, this brush still had great backbone and isn't "mushy." I'm completely satisfied, and feel this brush is a great value if you want something really top notch.

This soap smalls great, but is not overpowering. Quickly builds into a stiff lather that makes for a great shave.
