Merkur 20C Safety Razor- Long Black Resin Handle

I'm new to the Wet Shave world and started off with a safety razor from Walmart. I found good reviews of this beauty and decided it was worth it. Glad I did. Paired with some good blades this thing is butter smooth and leaves me with no bumps or roughness. 10/10

My wife recently got me the 20C in a gift set for Christmas. I have used it everyday with yellow 7O’clocks. I am very pleased with this razor. No irritation at all for a daily shaver. Mild but not so mild as to not get a good shave. Not as aggressive as my adjustables but can comfortably use it every day.

After about 9 months of use this razor has become useless because of a manufacturing defect. The weld that holds the screw used to attach the handle to the head has failed.

I wanted something in black that had a long handle without breaking the bank. I didn't realize the handle would be a little uncomfortable to hold because I didn't consider that the girth of the handle would matter. Now I just hold my hand closer to the top of the head and it's not really a big deal, but then I have all the slack from the long handle. I still get a good shave, but I would probably have picked one with a thicker handle
