Dovo Carre 6-8" Full Hollow Carbon Steel Straight Razor - Black Grenadille

This razor is a beautiful tool. Closest shave I've ever experienced. The craftsmanship is wonderful, from the nicely balanced blade to scales, the MoP inlay, and of course the shave ready blade itself. Just some routine stropping and away we go! Now I still need Royal Shave to give me the credit for my purchase towards my account as I've mentioned prior, and I'll be a completely happy camper.

My second SR (first ever a Bergischer Lowe purchased by my wife as a gift a year ago). 40+ years as a disposable razor guy. Learned how to shave with the Bergischer, but was also looking for a second SR due to SR acquisition syndrome. Like the smaller dimension from heel to toe, and appreciate the lack of a Spanish Point, as I’m still a noob. Maybe a bit less balanced than the Bergischer due to the wood vs blonde horn scales (no surprise there). Could use jimps on the shank for better control. Beautiful scales. Wood more deep red than black. Mother-of-Pearl inlay is a class touch, as is the design on the blade and on the spine. 6/8 blade no issue for this beginner. Would buy this unit again. Will use RoyalShave again when it’s time for SR #3.
